An increasing number of teenagers and young adults are choosing to live chastely, according to a new study from the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
The report, which covered the years 2006-08, found that 27% of men and 29% of women of ages 15-24 have not had a ¡°sexual encounter¡±-- up from 22% of both men and women in 2002.
In addition, 53% of boys and 58% of girls of ages 15-17 have not engaged in ¡°sexual contact¡±-- up from 46% and 49%.
The study also found that fewer than 2% of men, and barely 1% of women, are homosexuals.8-March-2011 -- Catholic World News Brief
